Director of Legal (Copenhagen)
In this Director of Legal role, you’ll be…
Serving as the legal partner to Sales by driving commercial SaaS contracting, handling T&Cs, MSAs, and DPAs, negotiating deviations, and maintaining fallback negotiation playbooks.
Managing corporate legal matters, including entity management across international markets, governance, board support, and selective coordination with external counsel.
Supporting the company's compliance framework in close partnership with our existing Compliance function, with a path toward taking over internal compliance ownership in the near future.
Owning vendor and supplier contracting by reviewing and negotiating key terms on liability, security, privacy, and SLAs alongside Finance and Operations.
Building and scaling a lean legal operating model by proactively driving processes, internal guidance, and review triggers to keep legal operations efficient.
Supporting fundraising rounds, corporate structuring, and M&A initiatives in close collaboration with the CFO and leadership team.
Who is the Legal Team?
Sitting within Finance & Operations, the Legal function drives our overall legal direction while remaining hands-on in building a scalable framework that supports our rapid growth across European markets. We safeguard the company across commercial SaaS contracting, corporate law, international scaling, and vendor management, while supporting future fundraising and M&A activities.
We act as a close partner to executive stakeholders, Sales, Finance, and Security, balancing fast risk-reward decisions with robust corporate governance. You will work directly with the Chief Financial Officer and lead our Corporate Lawyer in an environment that values extreme ownership, pragmatic decision-making, and strong cross-functional collaboration to enable business velocity.
Essentially, we contribute to our vision by protecting the business and providing the legal backbone needed to scale our platform across international markets safely and efficiently.
What you’ll bring:
Ideally, +5-10 years of relevant legal experience in a similar role, with proven exposure to a fast-growing SaaS environment that has scaled internationally.
A hands-on, autonomous mindset with the drive to take full ownership of the legal function and scale it from the current setup.
Strong expertise in commercial SaaS contracting and negotiating client-facing terms.
GDPR and data privacy expertise, with experience maintaining compliance frameworks.
Experience with corporate law and governance (board and shareholder matters, entity management), plus exposure to fundraising and M&A processes alongside external counsel.
A pragmatic, business-oriented mindset with a strong grasp of risk-reward balance to keep sales velocity high while protecting the business.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with fluency in English (Danish is not a requirement).
What do we offer you?
A starting salary of 115,000 DKK per month. As you grow within this role, your compensation can grow with you up to 130,000 DKK per month.
Continuous development through a clear and transparent framework, so you always know what the next step looks like through bi-annual growth talks and regular check-ins.
Thorough pre- and onboarding to set you up for success.
An office-first culture in a centrally located office near Kødbyen, along with visa and relocation support if needed.
