About the Role & Team

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our WBS team. In this role, you aren’t just building features; you are maintaining the integrity of our flagship compliance product: a secure, end-to-end encrypted whistleblowing platform used across Europe. Because WBS is a mature product, your focus will be on long-term reliability, high-standard security, and thoughtful feature development rather than building from scratch.

This role starts at 46,000 DKK per month and can grow up to 52,000 DKK as you develop within this specific job title. You’ll be part of our structured career framework, which includes regular development talks. As you build skills, take on new responsibilities and progress in your role, your salary grows with you. What you will do

• Develop and maintain high-security features, ensuring our end-to-end encryption and data privacy standards are never compromised.

• Focus on system reliability, implementing thoughtful improvements to a mature codebase to ensure long-term maintainability.

• Ensure code reliability and performance through testing patterns and a disciplined approach to database design.

• Collaborate across Engineering, Product, and Design to evaluate feature feasibility and define the most efficient technical implementations.

• Proactively identify and resolve technical debt, helping to protect the structural integrity and security of our flagship product.

What you bring

• Professional experience in a Software Engineering role, building and maintaining scalable web applications in a production environment.

• The ability to discuss technical solutions clearly and participate actively in team-wide technical sessions.

• Experience with at least one server-side language (we work with PHP). Knowledge of a modern frontend framework (we use Angular) is a plus.

• Ability to produce clean, maintainable, and well-structured code.

• A security-conscious mindset. Experience in encryption or cryptography is a plus.

• Good testing practices.
